MASTERAT 2008 (şcolarizare 2 ani)

Masteratul se adresează:

§ absolvenţilor secţiilor cu specializare A sau B în una dintre limbile romanice (spaniolă, portugheză, catalană, italiană, franceză, română);

§ absolvenţilor secţiilor de filologie clasică;

§ studenţilor de la facultăţile sau secţiile cu profil socio-uman.

Masteratul are ca obiective:

§ perfecţionarea în oricare din limbile romanice menţionate sau în limbile clasice

§ aprofundarea culturilor romanice în conexiunile lor sincronice şi diacronice

§ lărgirea orizontului cultural printr-o atractivă abordare interdisciplinară perspectivă europeană indispensabilă asupra culturii fiecărei ţări romanice în parte

§ consolidarea metodologiei de cercetare (documentare, selectare, structurare, redactare)

Masteratul oferă:

§ reale perspective de angajare în multe domenii ocupaţionale precum edituri, redacţii, învăţământ mediu şi superior, biblioteci, muzee etc.

§ excelentă pregătire pentru munca de cercetare

§ perspectivă sigură către studiile doctorale

Masteratul este organizat:

§ într-un trunchi comun de cursuri de interes general – ţinute în limba română şi din

§ şase module care corespund celor şase direcţii de specializare „Studii de hispanistică”/”Studii lusofone”/”Studii catalane”/”Studii italiene” – cursuri, seminarii, ateliere în limba respectivă, şi „Filologie clasică” / „Lingvistică Romanică” – cursuri şi seminarii în limba română.

Tematica generală:

§ Masteratul îşi propune să identifice, studieze şi sistematizeze acele elemente ale culturii literare şi lingvistice europene actuale care s-au definit şi structurat în timp pornind de la modele clasice şi care, în marea diversitate a variantelor, au păstrat, în aria romanică, o unitate recognoscibilă şi astăzi şi fertilă pentru progresul culturii europene în viitor.

Interesul actual al tematicii:

§ Programul se integrează în preocupările ştiinţifice şi culturale europene actuale de examinare a Europei romanice (şi nu numai romanice), teme majore ale programelor culturale finanţate de Uniunea Europeană şi de instituţiile de cultură din ţară.

Examenul de admitere:

§ probă scrisă (prezentarea, la alegere, a două din cărţile din bibliografia indicată mai jos)

§ probă orală (o temă de cercetare: o temă nouă sau continuarea lucrării de diplomă).

Religion, Spirituality and Birthing

In any society the way a woman experiences pregnancy, gives birth and the form of care she and her baby receive points directly to the key values of that culture. There is little wonder, therefore, that pregnancy and childbirth are argued to be significant physiologic, cognitive, social, cultural and spiritual events. Religious/spiritual beliefs have been argued to help women define the meaning of childbirth as well as provide coping mechanisms for the intensity of the birth.

Regardless of this and despite the decades of research carried out within various academic fields, very little research is occurring within the social sciences and humanities on the relationship between religion/spirituality and reproductive health practices which is the focus of this special issue. Furthermore, this special issue will address recent social changes and social theory debates (e.g.

globalisation and multiculturalism; risk society; new religious movements, social and cultural impact of new technologies) that might bring to light this relationship between birth and religion/spirituality. Completed articles should not exceed 8,000 words.

Submission deadline is September 2008. Early submissions are welcome.

This issue will explore the relationship between buildings and religious expression. Topics may include, for example, architecture, design and interior decoration of buildings used for religious purpose; disputes over property; theological argument tied to place; the symbolic representation of religious buildings; renovation for liturgical renewal; church planning and church planting; renovation and reuse of religious buildings; shared space; religious expression in the absence of a building; local church history; religious buildings and multi-culturalism; and preserving the heritage of religious buildings.
